Basing ourselves in some of London’s most bustling districts like Liverpool Street, Borough, Fulham, and Highbury is a key part of this. These areas are alive with activity all year round, making them ideal for both work and play.  

This is especially the case around Christmastime. So, to help our members get into the festive spirit, we’ve gathered a list of events and activities happening around our Uncommon workspaces this December. Let’s dive in. 

Christmas events near Liverpool Street

Located in the hub of the City, there’s always plenty going on around our Liverpool Street office space. Christmas is no exception. 

From 15th November to 24th December, Christmas will take over at Spitalfields Market. Themed stalls will offer unique items from clothes and jewellery to art, and the shops in and around the area will run various special events and discounts. It’s the ideal place to finish off your Christmas shopping.

Local school choirs will also be performing lunchtime carols and Christmas classics to raise funds for the Providence Row homelessness charity. Don’t forget to treat yourself to one of London’s best mince pies at Konditor & Cook while you listen. 

If you’re looking for a spot for after-work festivities, make your way over to Aviary on Finsbury Square. Their rooftop terrace will transform into a magical winter wonderland this Christmas season, offering seasonal food, drinks, and stunning views of the city skyline. 

Christmas events near Borough

The London Bridge area is always brimming with energy, but never more so than at Christmastime. And our Borough office is right at the heart of the action. 

From late November onwards, Borough Market will be decked out with lights, decorations, and a Christmas soundtrack to get you in the holiday spirit. Hop in with colleagues at lunchtime to indulge in the finest seasonal foods and stock up on edible gifts. 

They’re also running their famous Evening of Cheese on 13th December, where you can sample some of the best cheeses from Europe and assemble your Christmas cheeseboard. 

Another place to check out is the London Bridge Rooftop, which will lay on mulled wine, festive food, cocktails, and regular DJ sets throughout December. It’s located right next to the station, so it’s basically on the way home. 

Winter by the River is also well worth a visit. Between 14th November and 1st January, fairy-lit wooden cabins will have a range of hand-crafted items for you to peruse, plus festive goodies to sustain you while you shop. They’re also putting on a range of activities like choir performances and themed karaoke rooms. 

Christmas near Fulham

The Christmas spirit is just as alive in South West London, especially near our Fulham office.

For a cosy pub experience, head to the ever-popular The White Horse—the perfect spot for after-work drinks and warming up by the fire. 

If you’re keen to escape a little further (in spirit, at least), make your way to Tipis on the Green. This alpine-themed sustainable pop-up on Parsons Green will be offering up raclette, bottomless margarita brunches, quizzes, and more between 29th November and 22nd December. 

Alternatively, book into one of Neverland London’s winter igloos. Expect heated chalets, fur-lined sofas, gooey fondues, flasks of mulled wine, and much more. It’s the ideal destination for a festive team outing.

Christmas events near Highbury & Islington

Members of our Highbury workspace are in for a treat, too. In wintertime, the streets of Islington come alive with Christmas lights and markets, and there are plenty of pubs to hole up in. 

The Duchess of Kent is less than a 10-minute walk from our Highbury space, where you can find three-course Christmas feasts, drinks, and sharers. You can even pre-order a champagne or cocktail tree to get the party started. 

Other local favourites include The Castle, The Angelic, and Fox on the Green, all of which are offering Christmas menus this year. 

And if you’re looking for an extra dose of Christmas fun, you’re just a stone’s throw away from the vibrant happenings at King’s Cross, where you’ll find everything from curling and seasonal markets to the magnificent 50-foot Christmas tree in Coal Drops Yard.
