About us

Our vision

At Uncommon, we create flexible & truly sustainable workspaces with a difference. All designed for our members, team and partners to thrive.

Highbury & Islington acquisition

A unique, charming building within the green neighbourhood of Highbury. It was the first Uncommon location we opened to our members. Did you know it was previously a book bindery?

The Carlyle Group & Blackstone investment

Securing an investment of £300 million from world leading private equity houses, allowed us to focus on further growth of the team and the Uncommon brand.

Fulham & Borough acquisition

A year later, we acquired additional assets in South & West London, expanding rapidly and trippling our memberships.

Liverpool Street acquisition

Located in the heart of the City and featuring a stunning roof terrace, our Liverpool Street location quickly became a favourite for larger enterprise companies.

Holborn acquisition

Uncommon Holborn, due to open in 2023, will become our central flagship location and a truly sustainable workspace for over 2,000 members.

Uncommon 2.0 Launch

Answering to the new post-pandemic environment, we reviewed and relaunched our internal Uncommon Ethos, with a strong focus on team culture and our upcoming business strategy.

ESG strategy launch

In April 2022, we launched a market leading ESG strategy. It outlines five key focus areas, ambitious Net Zero targets and commitments towards building a truly sustainable and responsible business.

2023 Onwards

Uncommon will continue to grow throughout London by acquiring the highest quality assets in the best locations. The team will keep on developing and keep striding to be the most loved workspace operator.

Uncommon Fulham – Workspace Nomination

“We moved to Uncommon just over a year ago and I can honestly say it is my favourite office of the many I have worked in. I love the atmosphere, the staff (not to mention the coffee!) and it has been a great move for us as we have established our business. We chose to become members because of the feeling we got from the moment we arrived to view it. On a day where we viewed fifteen London offices, Uncommon was the first we visited and easily the team’s favourite so it was an easy decision to join. A year on and our business is doing very well, the team all enjoy coming to work and a big part of that is down to the Uncommon team. I hope we are here for many years to come.”

Nick Cotter – Aretian Wealth Management
Co‑Founder & APFS Chartered Independent Financial Adviser

“Uncommon is a very welcoming environment with a perfect balance between space to work and socialise. They have great on-site facilities with the ability to enjoy the coffee on cold days and the roof top when we have the weather. We chose Uncommon because other communal offices either lacked the finish, on-site offering or, in the case of one in particular, I found very pretentious. I enjoy the fact that there are some very interesting companies in the building but that none of it is thrown at you. Uncommon is unique because there is a great team running the building. We’re very well looked after.”
