Discover Borough: The Vibrant Food Scene

Borough is a fast-growing and very creative neighbourhood with so much to explore. As Uncommon is situated in the heart of the city, everything is practically outside of your doorstep – including the beloved Bermondsey High Street and Borough Market. It’s an area known for it’s vast food scene; it would be impossible to squeeze all of Uncommon’s favourites here.

Above all, what’s great about Borough is that you’ll probably come across your new favourite eatery without any research beforehand. Whatever you find, it surely won’t disappoint and you’ll be left wanting more.

Why not go ahead and grab a delicious takeaway meal and head over to the Bridge to enjoy the sunshine? Or you could eat indoors and enjoy the unique ambience each place has to offer.

You can make a full day out of it by enjoying the Uncommon Borough space to work flexibly and lounge after a hearty lunch.

Stoney Street is the second restaurant following 26 Grains. You’ll find an array of seasonal tarts and pastries (expect many forms of grains). Their philosophy is that the food should always be sourced at the highest quality, paired in a simple manner with a select few complimentary ingredients and cooked in season.

The inside is calming and charming; the perfect environment to wind down with a cup of coffee and a fresh cake or breakfast focaccia if that takes your fancy. Sit outside on your lunch break under the sun with views of the vibrant market as you enjoy a fresh herb salad, or saffron risotto.
