In honour of our fabulous women at Uncommon we are celebrating International Women’s Day 2025. With 63% of the Uncommon team are women, we asked 5 of them about their role and who inspires them the most. Fourth in this series is Hana, Executive Assistant to CEO.

• What is your role at Uncommon?

• What advice would you give to those considering a similar role to yours?

In a training role, patience is key because everyone learns at their own pace, so you need to be flexible, explain things in different ways, and stay calm even when things don’t go as planned.

• What woman inspires you and why?

Hana-Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke. She’s inspiring because she’s young, fearless, and fighting for indigenous rights, cultural preservation, and the environment. She proves that passion and determination can create real change.

• What is your favourite thing about being a woman?

Having a yap in the girls’ bathroom on a night out
