This September, as part of London Design Festival 2024, ‘Flying in Nuanced Colours’ by Pauline Loctin arrives at Uncommon Holborn.

This September, as part of London Design Festival 2024, ‘Flying in Nuanced Colours’ arrives at Uncommon Holborn – a vibrant, immersive and large-scale series of installations, designed by renowned paper-sculptor, Pauline Loctin. Known for her captivating creations that breathe life into paper, the bespoke commission from Uncommon, will blend origami with multiple dimensions, merging traditional craft and contemporary art.

Pauline’s colour choices for the installations of Chartreuse and Hot Pink are famously the world’s favourite colours. Working exclusively with
G . F Smith paper, the project will champion the rich tapestry of creativity found within the busy capital city.

About Pauline Loctin

Born in France in 1985, Pauline Loctin is a renowned sculptor known for bringing paper to life. Drawing from her Mediterranean heritage and North African familial ties, her work explores themes of identity, belonging, freedom, and liberation. She blends traditional folding with contemporary art, creating immersive installations that invite viewers into a world of delicate beauty.

Through masterclasses and collaborations, Pauline shares her passion, resonating with diverse audiences and evoking profound emotions. Her work continues to inspire, inviting viewers on a journey of self-discovery and cultural exploration.

Visiting & Events

The installation will be open to public during the London Design Festival, 16th-19th of September but booking is essential.
